在上海北外灘這片充滿歷史底蘊的土地上，一座建于1994年的高層建筑正經歷著一場蛻變。這座曾經的上海食品廠辦公樓，后成為綠地九龍賓館，現正以金輝索菲特酒店的新身份，展現出新的風采。
On the land of North Bund in Shanghai, which is rich in historical heritage, a high-rise building constructed in 1994 is undergoing a magnificent transformation. This building, once the office building of Shanghai Food Factory and later the Greenland Jiulong Hotel, is now presenting an unprecedented style with the new identity of Sofitel Shanghai North Bund.

From Jiulong Hotel to Sofitel Shanghai North Bund
當我們第一次踏入這座老建筑時，它的現狀讓我們意識到，這不只是一次簡單的立面提升和室內翻新工作。雖然原有的客房、餐飲和商業功能仍能正常運轉，但新業主顯然有著更高的期待——希望這里能成為一座富有藝術感的五星級酒店，同時也是該企業在滬的展示名片。這促使我們從更廣闊的視角審視整個項目：如何在保留原有建筑特色的同時，滿足人們對建筑品質和形象的更高要求？
When we first stepped into the old building, its current state made us realize that this was more than a simple facade upgrade and interior renovation. The original guest rooms, restaurants and commercial functions were still functioning, but the new owner clearly had higher expectations - the owner wanted it to be a five-star hotel with a sense of artistry, as well as a showcase for the company in Shanghai. This prompted us to look at the project from a broader perspective: how to meet the higher demands for quality and image while preserving the original architectural features?
為了回答這個問題，我們將設計的重點放在了“街巷”“功能”和“呈現”這三個維度。我們希望在提升建筑功能的同時，也能更好地融入城市肌理，創造出令人難忘的空間體驗。
In order to answer this question, we focused on the three dimensions of 'street', 'function' and 'presentation'. We wanted to enhance the building's functionality while better integrating it into the urban fabric, creating unforgettable spatial experiences.

“延續風貌特色，創造公共空間，融入城市圖景”

本項目所在的沙涇港地區是一個擁有近百年歷史的文化街區，幸運的是，百年前的城市路網和肌理得以完整保留。其中，與本項目毗鄰的1933老場坊是片區中最重要的工業遺產建筑，以其粗獷的混凝土結構和精致的裝飾細節而聞名。因此，為了強調與歷史建筑的呼應，設計保留了兩側山墻的雕塑感，并通過淺色石材和灰色金屬的組合，與1933老場坊粗糙的素混凝土相協調。設計還通過豎向開窗與底部圓拱柱廊等元素，將歷史建筑元素與現代人文氣息相結合。
Shanghai Shajing Port is a cultural neighborhood with nearly a century of history, where the urban road network and texture of a century ago have fortunately been preserved intact. Among them, the 1933 Old Millfun adjacent to the hotel is the most important industrial heritage building in the area, known for its rough concrete structure and exquisite decorative details. Therefore, the hotel renovation emphasizes the echo of the historical building. The design retains the sculptural quality of the two side walls and harmonizes with the rough plain concrete of the 1933 Old Millfun through a combination of light-colored stone and gray metal. Vertical window openings and a round-arched colonnade at the bottom of the building combine historic architectural elements with modern humanistic touches.
原有的酒店入口緊鄰繁忙的市政道路，缺乏足夠的前場空間。因此，我們在設計中調整了入口位置，將其轉移至場地中更為寬闊的西側角部。新的酒店入口增加香檳暖色和深色地面鋪裝，結合雨棚和燈光，營造精致浪漫的入口空間。簡潔的線條和典雅的美學風格讓酒店在周圍的新建建筑中脫穎而出，既和諧又個性鮮明。
The original hotel entrance was adjacent to a busy municipal road and lacked sufficient frontage space, so we repositioned the entrance to the wider west corner of the site. The new hotel entrance features warm champagne colors and dark floor coverings, combined with canopies and lighting to create a sophisticated and romantic entrance space. The clean lines and elegant aesthetics make the hotel stand out from the surrounding new buildings, harmonizing and characterizing them.
酒店塔樓的主體部分保留了原有窗墻形式，通過豎向裝飾線條強化建筑的挺拔感和雕塑感，使酒店更好地融入北外灘乃至整個上海的都市景觀之中。無論是從遠處眺望還是近處欣賞，改造后的酒店都給人一種既熟悉又新穎的感覺，就像是這座城市不斷演進的一個縮影。
The principal structure of the hotel tower retains the original window wall form, and the vertical decorative lines strengthen the sense of tall and sculptural architecture, so that the hotel can better integrate into the North Bund and even the entire urban landscape of Shanghai. Whether viewed from a distance or up close, the renovated hotel feels both familiar and new, like a microcosm of the city's constant evolution.

“挖掘建筑潛力，完善酒店服務”

在功能提升方面，設計首先著手于平面布局的優化，挖掘建筑潛力。原有塔樓為三核心筒布局，豎向交通集中于中央核心筒，疏散走廊較長。改造將部分樓梯和電梯功能移至西側邊緣核心筒，使得疏散走廊更加高效，從而提升了平面得房率。同時我們還增加了客貨梯數量，更好地提升了酒店的垂直交通效率。
In terms of functional enhancement, the design starts with the optimization of the plan layout to explore the potential of the building. The original tower has a three-core layout, with vertical traffic concentrated in the central core and long evacuation corridors. The renovation moved some of the stairs and elevator functions to the west edge of the core, making the evacuation corridors more efficient and thus increasing the floor plan occupancy rate. At the same time, the number of passenger and freight elevators was increased, which also better enhances the efficiency of the hotel's vertical transportation.
隨著核心筒的重新布局，我們得以對酒店的服務功能進行全面提升。首層空間被重新定義為一個開敞明亮的大堂，配以法式浪漫風格的室內設計，讓人一進門就能感受到濃厚的藝術氛圍。二樓的宴會廳得到了擴建，不僅容納更多賓客，還增設了額外的廚房空間。三樓的中餐廳基于不規則的平面布局，精心規劃了一系列私密而舒適的多樣化餐飲包間。
With the rearranging of the core, we were also able to fully upgrade the hotel's service functions. The first floor space was redefined as an open and bright lobby with a French romantic style interior design, allowing for an artistic atmosphere upon entry. The ballroom on the second floor has been expanded to accommodate more guests as well as additional kitchen space. The Chinese restaurant on the third floor is based on an irregular floor plan, with a series of private and cozy diverse dining rooms carefully planned.

“精細化設計打磨，創造獨特閃光點”
“Fine design polishing to create unique shining points”
高品質的落地呈現離不開反復打磨和完善。在整個改造過程中，每一塊材料的選擇到每一個細節的處理，我們都與業主、顧問、施工方進行了反復比選和試樣，力求精益求精。在立面材料的應用上，我們在塔樓主體立面嘗試了大面積使用仿石鋁板，這一做法獲得了比傳統石材更佳的平整度和轉角效果。
High-quality landing presentation can not be separated from repeated polishing and perfecting. During the whole remodeling process, for every piece of material selection and every detail treatment, we have conducted repeated comparison and trial samples with the owner, consultant and constructor, striving for excellence. In the application of fa?ade materials, we tried to use stone-like aluminum panels on the main fa?ade of the tower in a large area, and obtained better flatness and corner effects than traditional stone.
特別值得一提的是酒店的主入口和雨棚。經過數十稿方案的反復比選，最終選定了富有層次感的幾何花紋圖樣。在后續實施過程中，我們采取了分塊雕刻加工后再在現場拼裝的方式，以實現藝術雕塑般的目標效果。酒店一經開放，入口雨棚迅速成為了酒店的重要標志和網紅打卡地標。
Of particular note are the hotel's main entrance and canopy. After dozens of drafts, the final choice was a layered geometric pattern. In the subsequent implementation process, we adopted the method of carving and processing in pieces and then assembling on site to realize the target effect of artistic sculpture. Once the hotel was opened, the entrance canopy quickly became an important symbol of the hotel and a landmark for Netflix.

改造后的九龍賓館以北外灘索菲特酒店的新面貌，融入上海城市的發展圖景之中。作為一個建筑更新改造項目，它是對傳統與現代、歷史與未來之間微妙平衡的一次探索。尊重歷史，擁抱變革，我們期待未來更多的既有建筑能以新的姿態，繼續見證著城市的成長與發展。
The renovated hotel is integrated into the urban development landscape of Shanghai with the new look of Sofitel Shanghai North Bund. As an architectural renewal project, it is an exploration of the delicate balance between tradition and modernity, history and future. Respecting history and embracing change, we look forward to more existing buildings in the future to continue to witness the growth and development of the city with a new attitude.
